TracStor›Smart labels

One label. Three ways to find the box.

Read it, scan it, or just tap it. A TracStor Smart Label carries the bin's name, code and contents in print, a QR code for any phone camera, and an NFC tag built right into the label.

Smart Label packs are coming. Printed QR labels and separate NFC tags work in the app today.

Smart labels›What's on it

Print, QR and NFC on one label

Read it

The bin's name and six-character code in big type, its category, and a sample of what's inside. Anyone in the house can read it, no phone needed.

Scan it

The QR code opens the bin in TracStor, or with your phone's own camera app. It works from across a shelf, through a plastic sleeve, in good light.

Tap it

The NFC tag inside the label opens the bin when you touch your phone to it, even with TracStor closed. No aiming, no light needed: ideal for dark corners, high shelves and dusty totes.

Smart labels›Persistent

Stick it once. It stays right.

A TracStor label is linked to its bin for good. What it prints never goes stale, so you never peel and reprint.

  • No location printed. Move the tote to the attic, the label still fits; TracStor knows where it is now.
  • Contents stay live. Add or remove things and the QR and NFC open the latest list, not the day you printed it.
  • Three ways in, one record. Print, QR code and NFC all open the same bin, so if one is scratched or the phone has no camera light, another works.
  • The code is the backup. Type the six-character code into TracStor if a label is damaged. It's also short enough to write on tape.

Smart labels›Today

Make your own today

Everything a Smart Label does works in the app right now with parts you can buy.

Print the label

On a $25 Bluetooth thermal printer, straight from TracStor. Or print a sheet on any printer.

Add an NFC sticker

Stick an NTAG215 tag next to it and tap Add NFC tag. TracStor writes the bin's link onto it.

Stick both on the bin

Lid edge or front face, wherever you'll see and reach it.

Read, scan or tap

Any of the three opens the bin. Smart Label packs will put all of it on one peel-and-stick label.
