Sell what you own. Keep what you earn.
TracStor Marketplace turns anything in your inventory into a listing in seconds: the photos, name, category and condition are already there. One small monthly subscription, no cut of your sales, no social profile.
Planned. TracStor Marketplace isn't in the app yet; the plan and prices below can change before launch.
Marketplace›Why it's better
Six reasons to sell here instead of Facebook Marketplace
Keep the whole price
Facebook takes 10% of every shipped order (at least $0.80), counted on the item, shipping and tax together.1 The fee was 5% until April 2024.12 TracStor charges one flat monthly price and takes no commission, local or shipped.
List in seconds
Your item is already in TracStor with photos, a name, a category and notes. Tap Sell, add a price and a line about condition, and it's listed. No re-photographing, no re-typing.
Find it the moment it sells
TracStor knows it's in the red toolbox, bottom row, second box. When a buyer is on the way, you walk straight to it. Sold items come off your inventory, and the sale goes in the item's history.
No social profile
Facebook Marketplace needs an active Facebook account, and new or secondary profiles can be blocked from it.3 TracStor needs only a TracStor account: no friends list, no feed, no ads, no tracking. Messages stay in the app, so your phone number and email stay private.
Built to keep scammers out
Shopping scams were the most reported social-media scam in 2025, and Facebook had the highest reported losses of any platform.9 Americans reported losing $432 million to online shopping fraud in 2024.10 On TracStor every seller pays with a verified card, so there are no free throwaway accounts. Ratings come only from completed sales, and the app warns about gift-card, fake-payment and “verification code” requests.11
Buyers browse free
Anyone can browse, search and message for free, by distance, category or keyword. The subscription is for sellers only, and you can cancel it anytime. Listings pause and your inventory stays.

What one sale costs you
| Shipped sale on | Fee |
|---|---|
| Facebook Marketplace 10% of item + shipping, min $0.80 | $13.50 |
| eBay 13.6% + $0.40 | $18.76 |
| Mercari 10% of item | $12.00 |
| TracStor Marketplace flat $4.99 a month | $0.00 |
Sales tax, which Facebook and eBay also count in the total, is left out here, so their real fees run a little higher. Sources: 1, 4, 7.

When Facebook Marketplace is the better fit: it has far more buyers than any new marketplace, and an occasional local sale paid in cash costs nothing there. TracStor Marketplace is for people who sell regularly, ship, or want listings to come straight from their inventory, and who'd rather not use a social network to do it. You can use both: TracStor will copy a listing's photos and text for posting elsewhere.

Questions
Can I use it today?
Not yet. TracStor Marketplace is planned; join the waitlist and we'll email you when it opens near you. TracStor itself, the inventory app, is free during early access.
What does it cost?
The planned price is $4.99 a month for sellers, with no commission on sales. Buyers pay nothing. If a buyer pays by card through TracStor, the card processor's fee is passed through at cost.
Why a subscription instead of a fee per sale?
A flat price means a $400 sale costs you the same as a $4 one, so you keep more as you sell more. It also means every seller has a verified payment method on file, which makes throwaway scam accounts expensive.
Do I have to inventory everything first?
No. You can list a single item without putting anything else in TracStor. But if it's already there, listing takes seconds, and you'll know exactly where it is when it sells.
Can I still post on Facebook, eBay or Craigslist?
Yes. TracStor will copy a listing's photos and description so you can post them elsewhere too, and mark the item sold wherever it sells.
What can't be sold?
Anything illegal, recalled, hazardous, counterfeit, weapons, animals, alcohol, tobacco, medicine, and anything else prohibited by law where you are. The full list will be published with the seller terms.
